When an Active Shooter is in your vicinity, you must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with the situation.

Learn how to quickly determine ways to protect your own life, how to respond when law enforcement arrives on the scene, and how to recognize signs of potential workplace violence.

Facilitated by Chief Steven Stelter

Steve has over 38 years’ experience in law enforcement.  Steve spent 28 years with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, 13 years as a SWAT team member and team leader and ended his career as the Deputy Director of the DuPage County Auto Theft Task Force (BATTLE) before becoming chief.  Steve spent 8 years as the Chief of Police for the Village of Brookfield before leaving and now serves as the Chief of Police for the Village of Westchester.  Steve spent 15 years as a law enforcement trainer where he served as an adjunct instructor with the Illinois State Police as well as the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage.  Steve has extensively researched the topic of less lethal munitions and is certified in the proper use.
