Rain Interrupts 35th Annual IREM Chicago Golf Outing, But Does Not Dampen Spirits of All Who Participated August 9 at Kemper Lakes Golf Club
More than $2,500 Raised for 2021-22 Official Charity Generations Housing Initiative

AUGUST 2021 -- Steady rain the morning of Monday August 9 prompted golfers participating in the 35th Annual IREM Chicago Golf Outing to head back to the Kemper Lakes clubhouse to wait out the passing weather front.
After the rain subsided, some foursomes did venture out to the links to take on the challenge of the world-class course, while others remained at the spacious clubhouse to enjoy food, beverages, networking, and camaraderie.
The annual event brought out members, Industry Partners, and guests to Kemper Lakes in northwest suburban Kildeer, site of the late-summer event for the past several years.
IREM Chicago 2021 President Steve Schimmel, CPM®, joined a foursome to challenge the links at Kemper Lakes, and these past Chapter presidents also were on hand: Brian Lozell, CPM®, June McCrory, CPM®, Kris Cramer, CPM®, and Angela Aeschliman, CPM®.
Representatives from, Generations Housing Initiative (GHI), the Chapter’s official charity for 2021-22, met with those in attendance to share news on the social services they provide to residents of affordable housing. A total of $2,632 was raised during a Silent Auction; since IREM Chicago announced its relationship with GHI, the Chapter has raised $7,850 for the Chicago non-profit.
Chapter leadership thanked the many IREM Chicago Industry Partners for their generous support.
For the balance of 2021, IREM Chicago will co-host a Chicago Cubs Rooftop event September 22 with the Illinois CCIM Chapter, and a Networking Event and 2022 Officer Installation November 10 at Revolution Brewery in Chicago.
