IREM CHICAGO INSTALLS 2019 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND CELEBRATES 65TH ANNIVERSARY AT GALA CELEBRATION NOVEMBER 1

Six Chapter Members Installed for Earning IREM Designation, One Company Receives the AMO

CHICAGO – An event space 29 stories above downtown Chicago proved a fitting and dramatic venue as more than 90 IREM Chicago members, Industry Partners and guests were on hand the evening of November 1 for the official swearing in of the 2019 Chapter Executive Council.

IREM Chicago members also used the evening event to celebrate the chapter’s 65^th Anniversary, making it one of the longest-standing chapters within the Institute of Real Estate Management organization.  To celebrate the anniversary, a special cocktail, the Blue Sapphire Sparkle, was served, sponsored by Industry Partner The Inside Out Company.

For the second consecutive year, IREM Region 9 Vice President Maleta J. Brown, CPM,® conducted the installation of officers ceremony.

These four property management professionals will guide IREM Chicago in 2019:

• Kris Haskins, CPM®, President, Colliers International
• Angela E. Aeschliman, CPM®, President-Elect, The Missner Group
• Stephen G. Schimmel, CPM®, Treasurer, McLennan Property Management
• Colleen Needham, CPM®, ARM®, Draper and Kramer

The Chapter also installed these professionals for earning IREM professional designations:

• Michael Matthews, ARM®, Waterton
• Cindy Schultz, CPM®, Draper and Kramer
• Malissa Rainey, CPM®, Heartland Alliance
• Eugene Ballantine, CPM®, Cresa
• Trisha Leavitt, CPM®, 33 Management

And, 33 Management was installed for earning the IREM Accredited Management Organization (AMO) designation.

The gala event was held at the 29^th floor event space at 111 S. Wacker Dr., a newly-renovated space that offered panoramic west views of downtown Chicago and the West Loop.

Founded in 1953, IREM Chicago Chapter 23 has nearly 700 members who are charged with managing office, industrial and multifamily properties throughout metropolitan Chicago. The Chapter works to keep members informed on safety standards, legislative activities and other issues that have an impact on commercial real estate property management. And, it provides members with industry education, opportunities for community service, job referral services and guidance for candidates seeking to earn IREM industry designations.
